LEED for Homes

US Green Building Council Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (USGBC) has launched its LEED for Homes Rating system. Like the more widely known New Construction rating for commercial buildings, the LEED Homes system includes lower energy and water bills; reduced greenhouse gas emissions; and less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins. The net cost of owning a LEED home is comparable to that of owning a conventional home.
